(continued from Watchmen # 12, published by DC Comics*)
Her name is Selina Dreiberg, but she is known the world over as "Selina Jupiter, the Silk Spectre". Selina was born to Dan and Laurie Dreiberg, two costumed adventurers from the second age of heroes. After the events of WATCHMEN, Dan and Laurie started a new life together under assumed names and had a wonderful life split between heroic adventures and as "normal" a family life as anyone can have. Their happiness was soon joined by a bundle of joy they named Selina.
By this time, a new age of heroism had taken hold of the populace and they were able to resume living under their true names and staying close to Laurie's mother, Sally Jupiter, the Original Silk Spectre.
When Selina turned 18, after a lifetime of training in physical safety, martial arts, and detective work, and armed with an arsenal of gadgets and goodies designed by her father, she took on the Silk Spectre identity previously worn by her mother and grandmother. Like her grandmother before her, Selina quickly used the novelty of her status as a heroine to get into the entertainment industry with world-wide repercussions. Before long she was an international star of TV, movies and was even a character on a Saturday morning children's cartoon.
